February 2012 The cover of my book reflects the way I enjoy living my life...simple, yet fulfilling. The book is available on line from Tate Publishing, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Target…and in all book/discount stores nationwide. It is also available to you in AUDIO! I have placed it for quick pick-up in several locations. See the "Buy the Book" button on the left to connect to the publisher directly from this site or find a location near you for pickup. I see the sun today. Winter has not been as cold this year, but it is not over. It has been nice to still have weather in the low 80’s. The warm temperature just makes my body dance without notice. The smile on my face is much more radiant than the shiver of cold. Hurry up summer, I am waiting again. B’s & B’s (bathing suits and beaches) are whispering to me... I had a bump in the road after a wonderful summer last year. I sat on a metal screw. It has taken a while to heal and I missed a few months of good sweats with exercise and socialization. Finally it seems I can get back to working on projects and enjoying family & friends. Different thing make people happy and for me it is the very simple things in life. "God Knew I Loved Pizza" readers are all around the world. People continue to express the motivation to attempt new things after reading "God Knew I Loved Pizza". Ensuring the rights of those of us with disabilities is a top priority for me. The laws protect our rights under ADA, but FH laws can protect where ADA fails us. I recently fought a battle for FH and the law prevailed. It does not just happen; you have to work hard to ensure your rights. Some people insist on attempting to make us "disabled" and attempting to brand us. WE can and will sit strongly against them. Join me in taking on the causes that we still face in society. Please take action where needed to help us all. Dating and marriage are difficult today and I continue to work one on one with others, sharing tips about what I faced along the way. I hope to help them find the faith to roll on. Intimacy, privacy, survival and belief are challenges for all people in the world today, not just those with disabilities. I continue to work with medical suppliers to test their products and I find this very rewarding. The MH world is exploding and there are not enough hours in a day to help all of those you meet in need. Continuing to educate able-bodied persons about disability is as important as helping those disabled. I try to do this on a daily basis. As a population there is a need to understand that some have disabilities that are visible, for others they are hidden, but play no less of an impact in their lives. Remember, a disability can be both physical and/or mental. The state of the world today has brought much stress, which is harming people physically. Pull up those independent pants and lets shake this world back to a better place There are endless ways to reach out to others today... DO it! If you are currently on the down side of life climbing up or facing important decisions, remember the words from "The Bridge" by Billy Joel, "You must cross the bridge or fade away". "I want the world to see me, because I don’t think they understand. Some people are made to be broken and put back together again". Great tune! Word changes are my thoughts on me and my life. Live, love and dance (just DO it!) each day like it is your last. We never know what awaits us... do not get left behind.
